Laborer – Handling

Do you always need to be on the move? Our laborers team ensures that our departments are supplied and cleaned by moving, loading, and unloading material using various handling equipment. Do you recognize yourself?

The production team has a place for you!

The work schedule goes from Monday to Thursday, 7am to 4h30pm, and Friday 7am to 11am, for a total of 40 hours a week.

WAGE

$17.10 to $20.90

YOUR ROLE

The incumbent of the position handles, moves, loads and unloads materials and finished products using a variety of handling equipment.

DAILY TASKS

  • Give a helping hand in the storage, handling, and loading departments, depending on the needs communicated by immediate supervisor
  • Help unload delivery trucks using appropriate handling equipment, and store unloaded shipments at the adequate location
  • Help loading the tanks on transport trailer
  • Ensure shipments correspond to shipping tickets
  • Drive the forklift safely
  • Maintain and clean handling equipment
  • Make sure equipment is clean and functional prior to using it
  • Complete daily tasks in a manner that respects the company’s health and safety regulations
  • Be mindful of one’s own safety and that of others
  • Contribute to department and company’s collective effort

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • High school diploma (D.E.S) – an asset
  • Bilingual – an asset
  • Forklift Driving certificate
  • Bridge crane training card
  • Ability to lift and move weights up to 25kg
  • Can stand up for long periods of time, move and bend frequently
  • Ability to follow clear instructions
  • Great listening skills
  • Ability to work with short delays
